I’ve always felt this album did not receive the credit it should among JTE’s catalogue. It had different musicians and a different producer but I feel overall this is one of his strongest records. It has a few of his most brutally honest autobiographical songs in his entire catalogue with the differing songs of 15-25 and Kids in the Street. To me JTE was at his best when he was tapping into his hardships and life experiences. He painted such vivid imagery with his lyrics. James Kilpatrick

Hard-edged alt-country that draws on the pinwheeling melodies of bluegrass and classic folk, bolstering them with pounding rhythms. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 4, 2020

Honestly I can’t think of a better crafted record in the last 15 years. It has so many styles infused that date back multiple decades. The instrumentation is phenomenal. The lyrics are so gut wrenching and heartfelt throughout. JTE passing away was a tragedy to music. However now looking back after his death his songs were speaking so much about him and what he was going through. A perfect example of this is Who Am I To Say. Wow.
